LO COTIDIANO [DAILY LIFE]

LO COTIDIANO [DAILY LIFE]

Medellín, Colombie, 2015

Daily rituals, recurring hopes and simple gestures that organize and give meaning to reality provide the inspiration here for a series of storytelling sequences. This project was created in collaboration with the Antioquia Museum during an artistic residency in Medellín, Colombia. Participants were asked to perform a sequence of 20 movements that were photographed and then animated with digital tools. Thirty-five people took part in the project, each one bringing their own ideas and opinions regarding the scenes, accessories and actions. The result is a photographic animation in which metaphorical micro-narratives have been pieced together, revealing elements of a personal world. At the end of the project, each participant was given their animation in a flip book as a souvenir.
